Man Faces Frankston Stabbing Charges

A 27-year-old man has been charged over two alleged stabbings in Frankston, including an alleged armed robbery, and remanded in custody.

The 27-year-old alleged to have stabbed two women on two separate occasions within 24 hours has been charged by Victoria Police.

A 27-year-old man faces Frankston stabbing charges after police allege he attacked two women in separate incidents on Young Street and Playne Street.

Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives charged the man after officers arrested him on Ross Smith Avenue East on Monday, 17 August.

Frankston Stabbing Charges Laid

Victoria Police said the man faces two counts of intentionally causing serious injury, along with armed robbery, possessing a controlled weapon and possessing a dangerous article.

The man, who has no fixed address, was remanded to appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 19 August.

Two Alleged Attacks in Frankston

Police allege the man struck a 53-year-old Skye woman from behind with a sharp implement on Young Street at about 1.15pm on Sunday.

The following morning, he allegedly approached a 29-year-old Western Australian woman from behind on Playne Street, stabbed her and took her bag.

Both women were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

STPL News reported on the man’s arrest on Monday.

The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.
