The Mornington Peninsula Shire is calling on residents to provide feedback on its suite of draft strategic plans that will shape Council’s direction for the years ahead.
Released on 21 May, the plans include the Council Plan, Public Health and Wellbeing Plan, Asset Plan, and Financial Plan. Together, they aim to address rising service delivery costs, ageing infrastructure, and increased responsibilities passed down from state and federal levels—all while supporting residents impacted by cost-of-living pressures.
In a statement, Council said the plans were created with a focus on long-term sustainability and community impact, aligned with the Mornington Peninsula Community Vision.
Mayor Councillor Anthony Marsh encouraged residents to get involved.
“We’ve heard from thousands of community members to help shape these plans. Now we’re inviting everyone to take one more look and make sure we’re heading in the right direction,” Cr Marsh said.
Currently, the Council Plan and Public Health and Wellbeing Plan are open for public feedback from 21 May to 2 July 2025. The Asset Plan and Financial Plan will be released for community comment at a later stage.
Council will review feedback before adopting the finalised plans by 31 October 2025.
