
A 25-year-old Carrum man has been charged after police allegedly seized firearms, weapons, cash and more than $200,000 worth of ketamine.
Victoria Police said an anonymous tip from the public sparked a three-month investigation by the Caulfield Divisional Response Unit.
Police arrested the man and executed a warrant at a Carrum address on Friday, 19 June.
During the search, police allegedly found a quantity of ketamine, suspected cocaine, two firearms, two imitation firearms, a machete, illegal knives, various prescription medications and tens of thousands of dollars in cash.
The man has been charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of ketamine, trafficking cocaine, possessing prescription medications, trafficking firearms, possessing firearms and imitation firearms, possessing prohibited weapons and possessing proceeds of crime.
He was remanded in custody and was due to appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 22 June.
The charges remain allegations and will be tested before the court.
