Frankston detectives have arrested four men following an extensive investigation into a spate of aggravated burglaries and thefts across the region in recent weeks.
Officers from the Frankston Crime Investigation Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Flynn Court, Frankston, around 10:25 am on Tuesday, 7 January. The operation resulted in the seizure of several vehicles suspected of being stolen and other allegedly stolen goods.
Among the recovered vehicles were:
- A 2013 Holden Statesman sedan, reportedly stolen from Patterson Lakes between 5 and 6 December, valued at approximately $25,000.
- A 2015 Yamaha motorcycle, allegedly taken during an aggravated burglary in Waterways on 7 January, valued at about $4,000.
- A 2010 Volkswagen Passat, believed stolen from an aggravated burglary in Baxter between 4 and 5 January, valued at roughly $15,000.
Additional property believed to be linked to a vehicle theft in Flinders and a series of deceptions in Baxter on 7 December was also recovered.
Charges and Court Appearances
Two of the arrested men—a 24-year-old from Carrum Downs and a 22-year-old from Frankston—face numerous charges, including theft of a motor vehicle, driving while suspended, and driving a vehicle without number plates. They have been released on bail and are scheduled to appear before the Frankston Magistrates’ Court on 21 February.
A third man, aged 32 and from Frankston, is expected to be charged on summons with handling stolen goods.
The fourth suspect, a 24-year-old from Frankston North, was interviewed regarding allegations of aggravated burglary, motor vehicle theft, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. He is also expected to be charged on summons.
The investigation remains ongoing as police continue to gather evidence and pursue additional leads.
