Frankston Sharks Crowned Australia’s Top BMX Club After Three National Titles

Frankston Sharks BMX Club has been crowned Australia’s top BMX club after three of its riders won national titles at the 2026 AusCycling BMX Racing Nationals.

Harla Sinclair, Maya Ellis and Miller Nelson helped Frankston Sharks BMX Club secure the 2026 AusCycling BMX Racing Nationals Club Champion title after each claimed an Australian championship in their division. (Supplied).

Frankston Sharks BMX Club has claimed the national club crown after three of its riders won Australian titles at the 2026 AusCycling BMX Racing Nationals.

The Seaford-based club was named 2026 AusCycling BMX Racing Nationals Club Champion, awarded to the most successful club across the event. The club said it finished ahead of 112 clubs from across Australia.

Three Riders Finish On Top

Three Frankston Sharks riders finished at the top of their divisions.

Harla Sinclair

Harla Sinclair, 11, won the 11-12 Girls 24-inch Australian Championship in a field of 35 riders, according to the club. The title is her second at national level and adds to six Victorian state championships.

Miller Nelson

Miller Nelson, 15, won the 15 Boys Australian Championship after lining up in a field of more than 65 riders. The club said it was his first national title and follows three state championships.

Maya Ellis

Maya Ellis, 15, took out the 15 Girls Australian Championship, securing her third Australian title. Her racing record also includes a world championship and eight state titles.

The combined result helped deliver the overall club championship to Frankston Sharks, which is one of Victoria’s strongest BMX programs.

Club President Praises Team Effort

Club president Kate Carroll said the result reflected the work put in by riders, families and volunteers.

This is an incredible achievement for our club and our community.

Carroll said.

To see our riders perform at this level on the national stage, and to be recognised as the top BMX club in Australia, is something we are extremely proud of.

Carroll said.

Seaford Club Continues To Grow

Frankston Sharks BMX Club trains out of Seaford and draws riders from across the Peninsula and greater Melbourne.

The club runs weekly training on Wednesday nights and says it welcomes new riders of all ages and abilities.
