A 14-year-old girl remains in a critical condition after an allegedly stolen car rolled several times on Peninsula Link at Langwarrin.
Police said the grey Honda Jazz was travelling north near the Cranbourne-Frankston Road exit when the driver lost control about 10.15pm on Wednesday, 29 July.
The driver, from the Mornington Peninsula area, was pulled from the overturned vehicle and taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A 14-year-old female passenger, also from the Mornington Peninsula area, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.
Victoria Police allege the Honda was stolen from a multi-level car park on Warrigal Road after someone took its keys from a Chadstone gym between 7.30pm and 9.30pm on 23 July.
Investigators do not believe either girl was involved in the theft. The cause of the Langwarrin collision remains under investigation.
Somerville Highway Patrol investigators want to speak with anyone who saw the Honda or witnessed its driving behaviour before the collision.
