A woman was found dead inside a Stanley Street home following a Frankston house fire on Thursday 24 September.
Officers responded to reports of the blaze just before 5pm. No one else was inside the property.
Victoria Police said the woman had not yet been identified when it issued its statement that evening.
Frankston House Fire Under Investigation
The circumstances surrounding the fire remained undetermined.
Police established a crime scene and said an arson chemist would attend. The investigation is ongoing.
