Community groups across Somerville, Tyabb and Mornington can apply for funding through the 2026 Peninsula Quarries Victoria community grants program.
The program has a total funding pool of $5,000 and is open to local not-for-profit organisations seeking support for projects or initiatives that benefit the community.
The grants are delivered through the Peninsula Quarries Community Engagement Group, which was established in 2018 as part of the company’s local community engagement process.
Past recipients have included schools, pre-schools, service organisations, sporting groups and community organisations.
In 2025, grants were awarded to the Advance Community Centre in Somerville for a short horticulture course, Tillerkite Pre School in Somerville for improvements to its play space, St John’s Retirement Village in Somerville for two bariatric seats, and Balnarring Fire Brigade for a washing machine to launder personal protection clothing.
Peninsula Quarries Community Engagement Group chair Rob Gerrand said the program allowed community groups to seek funding for projects that directly benefit local residents.
Successful applicants will also be offered a plaque recognising their project.
Applications close on Monday, 1 June 2026. Requests for donations may also be considered.
More information about the program and application requirements is available through the Peninsula Quarries Victoria community page.
