One Nation Names Paul Stafford As Frankston Candidate Ahead Of Seaford Launch

One Nation has announced Paul Stafford as its candidate for Frankston at the 2026 Victorian state election, with the businessman set to launch his campaign in Seaford on Thursday night.

Stafford will appear alongside One Nation’s South-Eastern Metropolitan Region candidate Colleen Harkin at a campaign launch and trivia night on Thursday, 24 September.

The event will run from 6pm to 9pm in Seaford, with the venue address being provided to ticket holders on the day.

Who Is Paul Stafford?

Stafford is a father of three who moved to Australia from the United Kingdom in the late 1980s after completing a hospitality qualification.

According to his One Nation candidate profile, he later moved to Victoria in the late 1990s after working in hospitality and entertainment.

For the past decade, Stafford has operated his own business and later completed accounting qualifications during the COVID period.

Outside work, Stafford is a motorcyclist and has been involved in fundraising activities including the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride in Frankston and on the Mornington Peninsula.

In announcing his candidacy, Stafford said:

“I want to restore Australia’s ‘can-do’ spirit. One that rewards hard work, respects Australian culture and gives people the opportunity to build a better future.”

Stafford Joins Growing Frankston Field

Stafford joins a growing field of candidates seeking to represent Frankston at the November election.

Labor MP Paul Edbrooke has held Frankston since 2014 and is seeking another term.

Other announced candidates include Liberal candidate Bree Ambry, Greens candidate Katie Goulas, independent Chrysten Abraham, Victorian Socialists candidate Andrew Cheeseman and Animal Justice Party candidate Dr Julie Harman.

At the 2022 state election, Edbrooke received 41.55 per cent of first-preference votes and defeated Liberal candidate Michael O’Reilly after preferences, 58.66 per cent to 41.34 per cent.
