Candidates’ 30-Second Pitch To Voters

STPL News spoke with Nepean by-election candidates on election day, with candidates from Independent, Greens, Libertarian and One Nation campaigns taking part. Liberal candidate Anthony Marsh declined the opportunity.

As part of STPL News’ election day coverage, candidates encountered at Rosebud polling locations were offered the opportunity to record a short 30-second pitch to voters.

The aim was to give candidates a direct opportunity to speak to voters before polls closed.

Candidates Featured In The Video

The video includes short election day pitches from candidates spoken to by STPL News at Rosebud Secondary College and Rosebud Sea Scouts.

At Rosebud Secondary College, STPL News spoke with independent candidate Tracee Hutchison and Greens candidate Sianan Healy.

At Rosebud Sea Scouts, STPL News spoke with Libertarian Party candidate Peter Angelico and One Nation candidate Darren Hercus.

Marsh Declines Pitch

Liberal candidate Anthony Marsh was also offered the same opportunity to record a 30-second pitch to voters.

Marsh declined.

The interaction was recorded by STPL News and is included in the video. Footage shows Marsh declining the request before being ushered away by senior Liberal figures, including Brad Battin.
