
A woman has died after she was hit by a car in Chelsea on Monday morning.
Emergency services were called to a car park near the intersection of Avondale Avenue and Nepean Highway about 11.15am.
Victoria Police said the female pedestrian, who had not yet been formally identified, received treatment from emergency services but died at the scene.
The driver stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit will investigate the exact circumstances surrounding the collision.
Police have urged anyone who witnessed the incident, has footage, or has information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online.
