
A 14-year-old boy is among three people charged after police linked several alleged serious offences across Melbourne’s south-east to a Frankston-based investigation.
Victoria Police says the alleged offending includes aggravated home invasions in Frankston, a stolen vehicle from Box Hill and an alleged police evasion in Hastings.
Police Link Alleged Offending Across Several Suburbs
Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives allege the incidents occurred between 23 April and 4 June.
Police say the case involves:
- the alleged theft of a motor vehicle from an underground car park at a Box Hill shopping centre on 23 April
- an alleged attempted aggravated home invasion in Frankston on 31 May
- an alleged aggravated home invasion and attempted aggravated home invasion in Frankston on 4 June
- an alleged evade-police incident in Hastings on 4 June
Arrests Made In Seaford And Frankston
Detectives arrested two teenagers at a residential address in Seaford on Friday 6 June.
Police arrested a third person, a 20-year-old Frankston man, during a search warrant in Frankston on Sunday 7 June.
18-Year-Old Frankston Man Remanded
An 18-year-old Frankston man faces charges including attempted aggravated home invasion, theft of motor vehicle, aggravated home invasion, possessing a firearm while subject to a firearm prohibition order, possessing an unregistered handgun, exposing an emergency worker to risk by driving and reckless conduct endangering life.
He remains in custody and will face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 31 August.
14-Year-Old Boy Also Charged
A 14-year-old boy from the Frankston area faces charges including attempted aggravated home invasion, theft of motor vehicle, aggravated home invasion, possessing an unregistered handgun, exposing an emergency worker to risk by driving and reckless conduct endangering life.
He remains in custody and will appear before a children’s court at a later date.
20-Year-Old Frankston Man Faces Court
A 20-year-old Frankston man faces charges including attempted aggravated home invasion, theft of motor vehicle, aggravated home invasion, affray and possessing prohibited weapons.
He remains in custody and was due to face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
Investigation Remains Ongoing
The allegations place Frankston at the centre of a serious police investigation involving home invasion claims, weapons charges and allegations that emergency workers faced danger during a police incident.
Victoria Police says the investigation remains ongoing.
