A Victoria Police senior constable has been charged with four counts of common law assault following an internal investigation into an alleged on-duty incident.
Victoria Police confirmed the 35-year-old officer, who is attached to the southern region, was charged following an investigation into an incident alleged to have occurred in November 2025.
Police said the officer was on duty at the time of the alleged incident.
Senior Constable Charged On Summons
The senior constable has been charged on summons with four counts of common law assault and is expected to appear before a magistrates’ court at a later date.
Victoria Police has not identified the officer’s station or division and has not released further details about the circumstances of the alleged incident or the people involved.
The southern policing region covers a broad area of Melbourne’s south and includes the Frankston division, which incorporates the Frankston and Mornington Peninsula police service areas.
However, Victoria Police has not stated that the charged officer is attached to either the Frankston or Mornington Peninsula area.
