Peninsula Aero Club Hands Over $43,000 To Local Groups After Tyabb Airshow

Peninsula Aero Club has handed over $43,000 raised through the Tyabb Airshow to five local organisations, supporting mental health, emergency services and youth sport.

Peninsula Aero Club has handed over $43,000 raised through the Tyabb Airshow to five local organisations, supporting mental health, emergency services and youth sport.

The funds were presented at Tyabb Airport on Saturday, 9 May, following the recent Tyabb Airshow.

The recipient organisations were Kindred Clubhouse, It’s Okay Not To Be Okay, Hastings SES, Tyabb CFA and Tyabb Junior Football Netball Club.

Community Groups Receive Airshow Funds

Peninsula Aero Club said the latest handover continued the airshow’s long-running fundraising role, with more than $650,000 donated to local organisations and charities over the past 25 years from Tyabb Airshow proceeds.

The event included speeches from Paul Mercurio MP, Zoe McKenzie MP, Acting Mayor Cr Paul Pingiaro and Cr Kate Roper.

Speaking with STPL News, Cr Roper thanked Peninsula Aero Club for its continuing support of the local community.

Peninsula Aero Club has continued to support the local community through the Tyabb Airshow and its fundraising efforts.

Support For Mental Health, Emergency Services And Sport

The recipients covered a broad mix of community support.

Kindred Clubhouse and It’s Okay Not To Be Okay were listed as organisations focused on community mental health support.

Hastings SES and Tyabb CFA were recognised as emergency service recipients, while Tyabb Junior Football Netball Club received support for youth sport.

Peninsula Aero Club also acknowledged the role of volunteers, staff and sponsors in supporting the event, including iOR, EastLink and Bendigo Bank Mt Eliza.
