
One Nation will announce its Mornington candidate on Wednesday, 2 September, as the party continues to build its campaign across the Mornington Peninsula ahead of the 2026 Victorian state election.
STPL News has spoken directly with One Nation officials, who confirmed the party’s Mornington candidate will be publicly announced tomorrow.
The announcement will add another confirmed contender to the race for Mornington, which is currently held by Liberal MP Chris Crewther.
One Nation had previously confirmed candidates had been selected for both Mornington and Hastings, although their identities had not been publicly revealed.
One Nation Mornington Candidate Joins Tight Contest


Mornington was one of Victoria’s closest contests at the 2022 state election.
Crewther won the seat after preferences with 50.7 per cent of the vote against independent Kate Lardner on 49.3 per cent, a difference of 590 votes.
The One Nation announcement will provide voters with another confirmed candidate ahead of November’s election.
Hastings Candidate Expected In Late September
STPL News has also been advised by One Nation officials that the party’s candidate for Hastings is expected to be announced in late September.
The Hastings contest already includes incumbent Labor MP Paul Mercurio, Liberal candidate Frank Schiefler, Greens candidate Issac Willoughby and Animal Justice Party candidate Chloe Coulson.
One Nation has previously confirmed it has selected a candidate for Hastings, but the candidate’s identity has not yet been publicly announced.
The Victorian state election will be held on Saturday, 28 November 2026, with candidate nominations closing at noon on Monday, 9 November.
