Frankston Launches 2026 Community Satisfaction Survey

Frankston City Council has launched its 2026 Community Satisfaction Survey, with 800 residents to be interviewed across the municipality as part of a six-week door-to-door survey program.

Frankston City Council has launched its 2026 Community Satisfaction Survey, with door-to-door interviews to begin from 13 April and run for about six weeks.

Council says the survey will be carried out by Metropolis Research, with 800 residents to be interviewed across Frankston’s suburbs. Residents will not be asked to provide personal identification.

What The Survey Covers

The survey is used to measure how residents view council services, facilities and overall performance.

Council says the results help inform future planning and service delivery.

What Last Year’s Results Showed

The latest published results, from 2025, showed Frankston recorded an overall satisfaction score of 7.0 out of 10. That was slightly below the Melbourne metro average of 7.1.

The strongest-rated areas included garbage and recycling collection, the local library, food and garden waste collection, services for young children, and sporting facilities.

Safety And Lower-Rated Areas

Lower-rated areas included planning applications, road maintenance, public toilets and support for local business.

Safety remained a major concern in the 2025 results, with 29 per cent of respondents identifying safety, policing and crime as the most important issue for the municipality.

Council’s published figures also showed overall perception of safety was 7.3 out of 10, while safety at night was rated 5.6 out of 10.
