We have been working hard over the past few months. Our goal is to create a brand-new, more comprehensive website. We are using an updated platform with enhanced functionality. This is an exciting step forward for STPL News. It unites our two publications—the Somerville Times and Peninsula Local—under one streamlined platform.
Before, our website was branded as STPL News but used the peninsulalocal.com.au domain, which caused some confusion. To align with our vision, our new website will also be branded as STPL News but will now use the domain stplnews.com.au.
This update ensures consistency and reinforces our commitment to delivering local news in a clear and accessible way.
Transition Details
Given the extensive catalogue of content on peninsulalocal.com.au, we’re taking the time to migrate all articles and resources to the new site. During this process:
- All new articles and content will be hosted exclusively on stplnews.com.au.
- Peninsulalocal.com.au will continue to run with limited functionality and will officially redirect all traffic to the new site from 1 June 2024.
