Victoria Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate Khial Smith, who is wanted for questioning in relation to an alleged aggravated burglary in Shepparton.
Police say the alleged aggravated burglary occurred at a property on Maude Street, Shepparton, about 12.30am on Saturday 14 February.
According to police, a man forced entry, started two small fires, and threatened occupants who disturbed him with a knife. Police say there were no physical injuries and the offender fled the scene.
Investigators have released an image of Smith as part of the appeal. Police describe the 35-year-old as Caucasian, of medium build, with short brown hair.
Victoria Police say Smith is known to frequent areas including Melbourne, Ballarat, Rye, Shepparton and Echuca.
