11K Snatched in Boneo Sports Facility Break-In

More than $11,000 in prize money and staff salaries was allegedly stolen in a break-in at a sports facility on Boneo Road. Police say a Cranbourne man has been charged and bailed to appear at Frankston Magistrates’ Court in May.

More than $11,000 in prize money and staff salaries was allegedly stolen after a sports facility on Boneo Road, Boneo was broken into, with a 34-year-old Cranbourne man now charged, Victoria Police say.

Mornington Peninsula Crime Investigation Unit detectives were called after the alleged burglary was reported on 7 February 2026.

Cash for prize money and wages allegedly taken

Police allege an unknown offender forced entry into the building and stole more than $11,000, described as prize money and staff salaries for an upcoming competition.

Several computers were also allegedly taken, along with personal items belonging to staff.

Arrest made, charges laid

Police arrested a 34-year-old man from Cranbourne on 17 February 2026.

He has since been charged with burglary (x2), theft (x2), theft from motor vehicle (x2), possess a drug of dependence, and theft of motor vehicle, police said.

Separate Junction Village allegation

Police will further allege the man also stole items including jewellery and designer goods from a residence in Junction Village on 2 February 2026.

The man has been bailed to appear at Frankston Magistrates’ Court on 7 May 2026.

Police said part of the stolen money was recovered and returned to the sports facility. 0
