A Frankston man has been charged and remanded in custody following an alleged hammer assault during a dispute in Cranbourne.
Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives say a man was allegedly struck with a hammer during a physical altercation with two other men outside a property on Wallace Road about 10am on 6 February.
The victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries, according to Victoria Police.
Charges Laid
Police say two men were arrested nearby and taken to hospital for observation under police guard.
A 51-year-old Frankston man has been charged with intentionally causing serious injury, assault with weapon, and committing an indictable offence while on bail. He has been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 7 February.
A 34-year-old Cranbourne man has been charged with intentionally causing injury. He was granted bail and is due to appear at Frankston Magistrates’ Court on 29 April.
Victoria Police said the three men are known to each other.
