Fatal Unit Fire Claims One Life in Frankston

A person has died following a unit fire in Frankston on Thursday, 22 May. Emergency services responded to Franklin Court, where a body was discovered inside the burnt-out unit. Investigation ongoing.

A person has died following a unit fire in Frankston on Thursday afternoon, 22 May 2025.

Emergency services were called to Franklin Court around 4pm after reports that a unit was engulfed in flames.  During the evacuation, an unidentified person was found deceased inside the property.  No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.  Authorities have not yet determined the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the fire, or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from the area, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit information online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
