South East Social Procurement Showcase to Highlight Regional Partnerships

The South East Social Procurement Showcase will bring social enterprises, contractors and community organisations together next week to highlight social procurement projects across Melbourne’s south east.

Hosted by the Frankston Social Enterprise & Innovation Hub (FSEIH) and the South East Social Procurement Champions Network, the event will be held on Thursday 3 September as part of Social Procurement Week.

Social Procurement Across the South East

The showcase will visit projects in Frankston, Mornington and Parkdale, giving participants an opportunity to see how social procurement is being incorporated into major projects and local service delivery.

Featured projects include the $1.1 billion Frankston Hospital redevelopment, community asset maintenance work in Mornington and a $3.8 million landscaping package in Parkdale involving Navaroo, C2A and Acciona.

At Peninsula University Hospital in Frankston, Exemplar Health, Wallara and partners will discuss the redevelopment and future opportunities in operations and maintenance.

A Mornington site visit hosted by Citywide, Ventia and partners will explore social procurement in community asset maintenance, before the program moves to Parkdale Station to examine landscaping associated with the level crossing removal project.

South East Social Procurement Showcase Details

The program will begin at the Frankston Social Enterprise & Innovation Hub with breakfast and conclude with an optional networking lunch.

Attendees can join the full bus tour or attend individual sessions, although bus places are limited.

The South East Social Procurement Showcase will run from 8am to 2pm on Thursday 3 September.
