For over 60 years, PAC has organised biennial air shows, with proceeds benefiting local charities and sporting organisations. Since 2001, these events have raised more than $600,000 for the Mornington Peninsula community.
Last year’s show raised $42,500, distributed among local groups including:

- Mount Eliza Lions – $4,000

- Tyabb Football Netball Club – $2,000

- Tyabb Junior Football Netball Club – $1,500
The event brought a boost to the local economy, with 17 food vendors supporting small businesses and thousands of visitors driving revenue for accommodation providers, advertisers, and local retailers. It also showcased Victoria’s emergency services and military capabilities, featuring the CFA, Police Airwing, Air Ambulance, and the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
The show’s success was made possible by a dedicated team of 135 PAC members, supported by local Lions clubs, Air Cadets, CFA members, and 50 skilled pilots. Their work ensured a well-run, family-friendly event that drew over 8,000 attendees.
This is the second time PAC has received the Community Event of the Year award, the last being in 2004 for the ‘Great Mustang Roundup’ air show. PAC President Stephen Braim accepted the award, thanking the Mornington Peninsula Shire for its support and acknowledging the hard work of the organising team, pilots, and volunteers.

The Tyabb Air Show continues to be a major community event, supporting local organisations while celebrating aviation history. With strong backing from volunteers, businesses, and attendees, it remains a highlight of the Mornington Peninsula calendar.
