Seaford, VIC – Two men have been arrested after allegedly breaking into a storage yard and stealing a decommissioned passenger bus in Seaford on Thursday night.
The incident occurred around 7:30 pm on 20 February 2025, when a witness spotted two men using bolt cutters to gain access to a depot on Milne Avenue. The concerned citizen alerted police, who responded swiftly to the scene.
Officers from Frankston Police later observed the stolen bus travelling along Bardia Avenue in convoy with a 2010 Holden Colorado utility. Police activated their lights, and both vehicles pulled over to the side of the road without incident.
A 43-year-old man from Dandenong, who was driving the bus, and a 34-year-old man from Seaford, who was behind the wheel of the utility, were arrested at the scene.
Both men have been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, possession of drugs, and unlicensed driving. They were granted bail and are scheduled to appear before Frankston Magistrates’ Court on 26 March 2025.
Authorities have not disclosed further details regarding the circumstances of the theft or the contents of the utility vehicle.
