Parks Victoria has confirmed Flinders Pier’s historic timber inner section will not be fully rebuilt after new safety findings expanded the scope of restoration works. Save Flinders Pier campaign chair Charles Reis OAM has questioned the reduced rebuild and raised concerns over heritage obligations.
