Rye Shooting Update: Second Narre Warren Man Charged with Murder

Homicide Squad detectives have charged a second man in relation to the fatal shooting that occurred in Rye on 2 December. This follows the earlier charge of a 24-year-old Narre Warren man in connection with the tragic deaths of two people at a Parson Street property in Rye.

Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 4am following reports of an alleged altercation between a man and a woman who had attended the address and the residents of the property.

Despite medical intervention, a 29-year-old Rye man and a 19-year-old Mornington woman tragically died at the scene. Authorities believe the individuals involved were known to each other.
