Port of Hastings Chosen for Victorian Renewable Energy Terminal

The Port of Hastings has been selected as the preferred location for the development of the Victorian Renewable Energy Terminal, a key project aimed at bolstering the state’s offshore wind capacity.

The terminal will be located at the Old Tyabb Reclamation Area, near the Westernport Ramsar site, an area recognised for its international environmental significance. This dedicated assembly port will not only support offshore wind projects but may also facilitate maintenance activities in the future.

Community members are encouraged to provide feedback on the draft scoping requirements for the Environmental Effects Statement (EES) by December 11th. This feedback is a vital part of the consultation process and will help shape the future of the project.
