A number of peninsula local residents have been recognised for their outstanding contributions to the community in the 2025 Australia Day Honours list. These prestigious awards celebrate individuals who have demonstrated dedication, service, and leadership across various fields.
Member of the Order of Australia (AM)
- Dr Kym Jenkins, Sorrento: Dr Jenkins has been honoured for her significant service to psychiatry as a clinician, academic, and in executive roles. Her work has had a profound impact on mental health care both locally and nationally.
