Peninsula Film Festival Draws Near Record Crowds for 14th Edition

The 14th Annual Mornington Peninsula Film Festival attracted near-record attendance over the weekend, bringing a vibrant celebration of cinema to Rosebud. The beloved event, a highlight on the local cultural calendar, overcame industry pressures to deliver a memorable experience for film enthusiasts and the wider community.

Festival Director Steve Bastoni expressed his gratitude for the community’s continued support, which he credited for the event’s ongoing success. In an interview with RPP FM, Bastoni acknowledged the challenges faced by festivals but remained optimistic about the future of the Peninsula Film Festival.

“The support that we have from you guys and other locals, we’ll hopefully keep on pushing through in these difficult times and we’ll continue and be around for many, many years to come, we hope,”.
