Major Multi-Vehicle Collision in Pearcedale Leaves Six Injured

A serious crash involving a truck and six vehicles in Pearcedale has left six injured, causing road closures on Baxter-Tooradin Road. Authorities urge caution.

A major multi-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Baxter-Tooradin Road and Craigs Road in Pearcedale around 9:30 am on Tuesday, 11 February.

Emergency services promptly attended the scene.

According to reports, a truck collided with six vehicles on Baxter-Tooradin Road. Paramedics treated and transported six individuals to various hospitals.

Two people were taken to Alfred Hospital, three to Frankston Hospital, and one to Dandenong Hospital. The conditions of the injured parties have not been disclosed at this time.

Greater Dandenong Highway Patrol officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Authorities are urging anyone with dashcam footage or who witnessed the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area as Baxter-Tooradin Road remains closed in both directions between East Road and Baxter-Tooradin Road due to the collision.

This incident follows a fatal collision in Pearcedale last month, where an 87-year-old man died after a two-vehicle crash at the same intersection.

Authorities are reminding drivers to exercise caution and adhere to road safety regulations to prevent such tragic incidents.
