And just like that, another senior leader has exited the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council.
STPL News has been informed by an insider that Tanya Scicluna has abruptly resigned from her role as Director of Community Strengthening and the Executive Team. It is understood that a memo was sent out this afternoon announcing her departure.

The reasons for her resignation are not yet known. However, sources continue to report that morale within the organisation is very low, with ongoing concerns about high staff turnover and internal challenges.
This follows the sudden departure of Director of Planning Renae Littlejohn, raising further questions about instability within the Shire’s leadership.
Restructure or Something Bigger?
The recent resignations raise a key question—is the new CEO restructuring the organisation, or is there a deeper issue at play?
If this is part of a planned shake-up, it could suggest the new CEO is making decisive moves to reshape the organisation. However, insider reports of low morale and high staff turnover indicate potential unrest. The sudden nature of these resignations—rather than a structured transition—raises concerns that something bigger might be unfolding.
It remains unclear whether these exits are linked to a deliberate restructuring effort or whether external pressure, internal conflict, or governance issues are behind the instability.
According to our insider, more resignations are expected. The extent of the changes remains to be seen, but it is clear that Mornington Peninsula Shire Council is undergoing significant upheaval.
