Homicide Investigation: Reports of Gunshots and Man’s Body Found in Dandenong

Police are investigating after a man’s body was discovered at a property on McCrae Street in Dandenong, Melbourne’s southeast, on Tuesday morning.

Emergency services responded shortly before 9:40 am after a passerby found the man with serious upper body injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and the exact circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation.

A crime scene has been established, with detectives from the Homicide Squad working to piece together what led to the fatal incident.

According to Channel 9 News, neighbours reported hearing two loud gunshots approximately two hours before police arrived. Screams were also heard from the unit block the night before the discovery.

Increased police presence is expected in the area as investigations continue, and residents are advised to remain alert and report any unusual activity to authorities.
