Major Upgrade for Nepean Highway as Frankston FMAC Development Moves Ahead

The next stage of the Frankston FMAC development begins with a Nepean Highway upgrade featuring 8,000 new plants, new businesses, and the upcoming Harbour Frankston luxury complex.

RPP FM reports that the next stage of the Frankston Metropolitan Activity Centre (FMAC) rejuvenation is set to commence with a significant upgrade of the Nepean Highway, bringing fresh landscaping and new business ventures to the area.

As part of the highway improvements, 8,000 new plants will be installed, contributing to a greener and more vibrant streetscape. The enhancements align with Frankston’s broader efforts to revitalise its urban landscape and attract more visitors and businesses.

This rejuvenation comes as a wave of new enterprises open in Frankston after the renovation and redevelopment of long-vacant properties. Notable additions include the Moon Dog Beach Club, a popular new venue offering a relaxed beachside experience, and the Tasty Chinese Dumpling Restaurant, drawing food enthusiasts with its authentic offerings.

Further boosting the area’s appeal is the upcoming construction of Harbour Frankston, a luxury apartment complex that will bring modern living and public amenities to the city centre. The development will feature a high-end restaurant, a wellness centre, and a gymnasium, all accessible to the general public, enhancing Frankston’s position as a key lifestyle and business hub in the region.

The FMAC development project aims to transform Frankston into a more dynamic and attractive destination, benefiting both residents and visitors. The combination of improved infrastructure, thriving new businesses, and high-quality housing underscores Frankston’s growth and potential as a central economic and cultural precinct on the Mornington Peninsula.

The revitalisation project reflects a commitment to long-term economic sustainability and urban improvement, with both public and private investments driving change.
