Following their guidance, the driver safely emptied the burning load onto a concrete surface at the Rosebud depot, allowing firefighters to extinguish the flames.

Investigations identified a battery and an electrical drill as likely fire sources. Mornington Peninsula Shire is urging residents to use proper disposal facilities for hazardous materials to prevent similar incidents.
