Victoria Police are appealing for public assistance after two classic Suzuki motorcycles were stolen from a collector’s garage in Seaford, within the Frankston City Council municipality.
Detectives from Frankston Crime Investigation Unit believe the garage at a Fortescue Avenue property was targeted sometime between 3pm Sunday and 2.50pm Monday.
Entry forced, multiple items taken
Police allege offenders used a tool to pry open a window before forcing the garage door to gain entry.
The stolen items include:
- Two Suzuki 1986 GSXR 1100 motorcycles, valued by police at $30,000
- A toolbox
- Five wheels/rims, valued at $5,000
Investigators have released images of the motorcycles and are urging anyone who recognises the bikes, saw suspicious activity in the area during the timeframe, or has noticed the motorcycles being offered for sale to come forward.
What residents can look out for
Police are asking the community to keep an eye on:
- Listings for classic Suzuki bikes that appear suddenly, are priced unusually, or lack clear ownership history
- Private sales where the seller avoids inspections, registration details, or proof of purchase
- People transporting motorcycles or parts late at night or in circumstances that appear out of place for the neighbourhood
