Police are investigating after a stolen industrial buggy rammed a police vehicle in Moorooduc early on Monday morning.
Victoria Police said a blue sedan arrived at a business on Moorooduc Highway about 5.40am. Offenders allegedly got out of the vehicle, forced entry into the premises and stole an industrial buggy.
According to police, the buggy then left the scene and travelled a short distance in convoy with the blue car. Patrolling officers later spotted both vehicles on Bentons Road, where they came to a stop. Police said the buggy then rammed the police car.
There were no physical injuries reported.
Police said the male offender driving the buggy dumped it and fled in the waiting blue sedan. No arrests had been made when the Victoria Police appeal was published at 9.30am on Monday, 16 March 2026.
Investigators are now calling for public assistance. Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has dashcam, CCTV footage or other information, is being urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
