Main Pool Hall at PARC to Reopen a Week Ahead of Schedule

Frankston’s Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre will reopen its Main Pool Hall on Monday 11 August, one week ahead of schedule, with warmer pools, hot showers, and key facilities ready for use.

FRANKSTON — The Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre (PARC) has announced that its Main Pool Hall will reopen earlier than expected, welcoming swimmers back from Monday 11 August — one week ahead of schedule.

The early reopening comes after the swift arrival of parts and a smooth installation of PARC’s new boiler, allowing for warmer, more consistent heating across pools and showers.

From Monday, 11 August, visitors will have access to:

  • 50-metre pool for lap swimming, swim lessons, aqua classes and user groups
  • Learn to Swim Pool for PARC swim lessons
  • Waterslides
  • Showers with improved heating
  • Café operating under normal hours

Some facilities will reopen later, with the Aquatic Playground set to return on Saturday 16 August, and the sauna on Friday 30 August. All other areas of PARC remain open and operating as usual.

PARC has encouraged members with suspended memberships, originally set to resume on 18 August, to get in touch if they wish to return sooner.

Centre management thanked the community for their patience during the boiler replacement.

“We can’t wait to see you back in the Centre and enjoying a warmer PARC,” a spokesperson said.
