Arsonists Cause $2M Damage in Dandenong South Truck Yard Fires

Victoria Police are investigating two suspicious fires at a Dandenong South truck yard, causing nearly $2 million in damages. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.

Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following two suspicious fires at a Dandenong South truck yard, which caused nearly $2 million in damages.

First Fire – 17 February

  • Time: Around 1:30 am
  • Location: Business on Kirkham Road
  • Incident:
    • Offenders arrived in a black Audi sedan
    • Forced open the gate and set a semi-trailer cabin on fire
    • One truck destroyed, two others damaged

Second Fire – 3 March

  • Time: Around 1:20 am
  • Incident:
    • Offenders arrived in a black Ford sedan
    • Cut the gate lock and used an accelerant to ignite a Scania prime mover
    • Two more trucks caught fire

Police Appeal for Information
