Police Investigate Suspected Arson in Rosebud and McCrae

Police are investigating multiple suspected arson fires lit in Rosebud and McCrae on 23 November. A 60-year-old man is assisting with inquiries.

Police are currently investigating a series of suspected arson incidents that occurred in Rosebud and McCrae on the morning of 23 November.

Authorities believe multiple fires were deliberately lit between 7am and 9:20am in the vicinity of Point Nepean Road and the Peninsula Link Freeway. Emergency services responded swiftly to contain the blazes, and no injuries have been reported.

A 60-year-old Rosebud man is assisting police with their inquiries. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances and motive behind the fires.
