Police Investigate Suspected Arson in Rosebud and McCrae

Police are investigating multiple suspected arson fires lit in Rosebud and McCrae on 23 November. A 60-year-old man is assisting with inquiries.

Police are currently investigating a series of suspected arson incidents that occurred in Rosebud and McCrae on the morning of 23 November.

Authorities believe multiple fires were deliberately lit between 7am and 9:20am in the vicinity of Point Nepean Road and the Peninsula Link Freeway. Emergency services responded swiftly to contain the blazes, and no injuries have been reported.

A 60-year-old Rosebud man is assisting police with their inquiries. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances and motive behind the fires.

Police are urging anyone with information or who was in the area between 7am and 11am to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Reports can also be submitted confidentially via the Crime Stoppers Victoria website at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
