Launched in 2022, STPL News began with the Somerville Times and later expanded to include the Peninsula Local, unifying both under a single banner. Today, STPL News is proud to serve the region with accurate reporting, local features, and reliable updates across print, digital and social platforms.
We are independently owned and operated, with Jay Scicluna acting as owner, publisher and lead journalist, supported by a team of passionate contributors and local collaborators — including well-known names like the Somerville Swooper, RPP FM, and more.
